Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead and supervise care staff, support residents with their daily needs, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care. Your leadership will help create a positive atmosphere where residents feel valued, safe, and well-cared-for.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support care staff to ensure high standards of care are maintained at all times
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, medication management, and daily activities
- Develop, review, and update personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Lead by example in delivering compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, team members, and external professionals
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff to promote professional development
Skills
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to develop and implement detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Driving skills preferred for supporting resident outings or errands
- Familiarity with IT systems used for care documentation and reporting
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to residential care environments
