Active Health Solutions is recruiting a permanent employed podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team.
This is a current vacancy for 1-2 podiatrists working between 24 and 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern can be agreed with the successful applicant and may include work at our Holywood clinic, Bangor clinic or both locations.
We welcome applications from experienced podiatrists, newly qualified podiatrists and podiatrists returning to clinical practice.

Our services include podiatry, physiotherapy, sports therapy, rehabilitation and Pilates. Our clinicians work collaboratively to help patients move better, remain active and manage pain or long-term conditions.
The successful applicant will join a supportive clinical team and benefit from an existing patient base, internal referrals and full administrative support.
The role
The podiatrist will provide high-quality, patient-centred podiatry care within a private clinical setting.
Depending on the successful applicant’s experience and interests, the caseload may include:
- General and routine podiatry
- Nail and skin conditions
- Diabetic foot assessment and care
- High-risk foot care
- Musculoskeletal podiatry
- Biomechanical and gait assessment
- Orthotic assessment
- Nail surgery
- Verruca treatment
- Sports and running-related foot and lower-limb conditions
The role will also involve working collaboratively with physiotherapists, sports therapists and other members of the Active Health team when patients would benefit from a combined approach.
Key responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Assess, diagnose and treat a varied podiatry caseload
- Develop appropriate treatment and management plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
- Communicate clearly with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Work in accordance with HCPC standards and relevant professional guidance
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and service development
- Build positive relationships with colleagues and patients
- Participate in appropriate training and professional development
Essential requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a recognised qualification in podiatry
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, or be eligible to register before starting employment
- Be committed to delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain appropriate professional indemnity and comply with relevant professional standards
Previous private-practice experience is helpful but is not essential.

Working pattern
This role is available for between 24 and 37.5 hours per week.
We are open to discussing:
- Three, four or five working days per week
- A consistent weekly working pattern
- A mixture of hours across our Holywood and Bangor clinics
- A working pattern that supports family or caring responsibilities
The agreed hours, days and primary clinic location will be confirmed in the employment contract.
