Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Enterprise Technology Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing expert guidance on complex IT systems, enterprise architecture, and cloud solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to design, implement, and optimise technology architectures that align with organisational goals. A strong understanding of system design, software development, and ITIL best practices is essential to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and security.
Duties
- Analyse client requirements to develop comprehensive enterprise architecture strategies.
- Design scalable and secure system architectures leveraging service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
- Develop and implement cloud-based solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices frameworks.
- Create detailed technical documentation including system design, APIs, RESTful services, and deployment processes.
- Lead the deployment of software applications across various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
- Collaborate with development teams on application development using Java, Python,.NET, JavaScript, and SQL-based technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Ensure information security protocols are integrated into all solutions in accordance with industry standards.
- Manage project lifecycles following SDLC methodologies and ITIL best practices.
- Conduct analysis to optimise existing systems and recommend improvements for performance and security enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership in DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, software deployment, and system automation.
- Support clients in integrating web services and APIs for seamless data exchange across platforms.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Proven experience with system design, solution architecture, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
- Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Proficiency in containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; T-SQL and PL/SQL expertise preferred.
- Experience with operating systems including Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
- Programming skills in JavaScript, Java, Python,.NET; experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of information security principles and best practices for data protection.
- Ability to manage projects effectively using project management methodologies.
- Strong analysis skills to evaluate existing systems for optimisation opportunities.
- Understanding of DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration/deployment pipelines.

Pay: £45,500.00-£75,500.00 per year
