Job Summary:
Responsible for cleaning classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and other school facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Dust and wipe desks, tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, and restroom facilities.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Replenish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other cleaning supplies.
- Clean windows, doors, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, staff rooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damaged equipment to the site manager.
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow school health and safety policies, including infection control procedures.
- Lock and secure rooms and buildings if required.
- Assist with deep cleaning during school holidays or special events.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not always essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Experience:
