We're looking for a proactive and organised HR Co-Ordinator to join our Northern Mills HR team on a fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across employee relations, recruitment, absence management and day-to-day HR operations while supporting managers and employees across the business.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you'll play a key role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly, providing coordination and administrative support that helps deliver an efficient and responsive HR service.
This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of HR activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll work alongside experienced HR professionals, build valuable employee relations knowledge and contribute directly to supporting our people and operational teams across Northern Mills.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting employee relations activity through the preparation of HR documentation, letters and meeting packs.
- Organising and coordinating HR meetings, including absence reviews, welfare meetings and employee relation hearings.
- Taking notes and maintaining accurate records where required.
- Supporting recruitment activity, including raising requisitions, arranging interviews, processing offers and coordinating pre-employment checks and medicals.
- Processing leavers and maintaining HR systems and records.
- Updating trackers, reports and databases to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
- Acting as a first point of contact for routine HR queries and directing employees to the appropriate support.
- Providing general administrative and coordination support to the HR Business Partner
What we need to know about you
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Previous HR administration or coordination experience is desirable, although not essential for candidates with transferable skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in HR.
