About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant with a strong focus on Purchase Ledger to join our finance team in Telford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career. While your primary responsibility will be supporting the Purchase Ledger function, you'll also gain exposure to a broad range of finance activities and work closely with an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match purchase invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
- Prepare supplier payment runs.
- Assist with month-end Purchase Ledger activities.
- Support the Credit Control function when required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Provide general accounts administration and support to the wider finance team.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and takes pride in producing accurate work. You'll be comfortable managing your own workload, meeting deadlines and working collaboratively within a small team.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 1 years’ experience in an Accounts or Purchase Ledger role.
- A good understanding of accounting principles and finance processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience using SAP.
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT Level 3.
- Full UK driving licence.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
