Agricultural Engineer -About the Role
Join one of the UK’s most established agricultural machinery specialists. We're recruiting experienced Agricultural Engineers and Service Technicians to maintain and repair premium equipment across multiple locations. This role suits experienced engineers with diagnostic and fault-finding expertise across tractors, balers, sprayers, combine harvesters, telehandlers and other agricultural or plant machinery.
Agricultural Engineer - What You’ll Be Doing
- Mechanical servicing and repair of agricultural machinery, both on-site and in the workshop
- Diagnosing faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintaining accurate service records and adhering to compliance standards
- Working with high-end brands
- Participating in a paid out-of-hours support rota, particularly during the harvest season
Agricultural Engineer - Salary and Benefits
- Base Salary: £42,000 to £45,500 (based on experience)
- On Target Earnings (OTE): £55,000 to £60,000+
- Company van with fuel card
- Overtime paid at 1.5x weekdays/Saturdays and 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- £150 weekly on-call retainer (rotational basis)
- Up to £2,000 annual performance bonus
- Paid morning and afternoon tea breaks (rare in the industry)
- 30 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing with service

Agricultural Engineer - Ideal Candidate
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Agricultural, Land-Based, Plant or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years’ recent experience with agricultural or heavy plant equipment
- Advanced fault-finding and diagnostics skills (hydraulic, electrical, CANbus preferred)
- Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Full UK driving licence
