About the role
The role is located at our Lower Mill Estate site and operates on a rotating schedule of 40 hours per week, worked across 5 days out of 7, with shifts ranging between 8:00am and 7:00pm. The role is required to be on call 24/7 for any urgent of emergency situations that arise.

What you’ll be doing:
Lead, motivate and develop the Leisure & Wellness team, including duty managers, spa therapists, receptionists and pool attendants, to deliver consistently high standards of service, safety and professionalism.
Create a positive, supportive and inclusive working environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
Manage the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of team members, ensuring that all employees receive appropriate training and are competent to fulfil their responsibilities.
Hold regular team meetings and one-to-one meetings to communicate operational updates, review performance, recognise achievements and agree development priorities.
Set clear expectations and provide timely, constructive feedback. Address performance, conduct or capability concerns promptly and appropriately, escalating matters to the Estate Manager where required.
Prepare and manage fair and effective team rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels across reception, treatments, pool operations and other Leisure & Wellness facilities.
Arrange suitable cover for sickness, holiday and other absences while maintaining service standards and controlling staffing costs.
Maintain accurate training and competency records, with all required training formally completed and signed off by the trainer and employee.
Ensure that beauty therapists and other relevant team members are appropriately trained and competent in the treatments, equipment and operational procedures they are expected to undertake.
Take overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional day-to-day operation of the Leisure & Wellness facilities during advertised opening hours.
Ensure that all areas are presented, maintained and operated to an excellent standard, including reception, treatment rooms, pool areas, changing facilities, staff areas and retail spaces.
Establish, implement and regularly review effective opening and closing procedures.
Develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures for all areas of the operation, ensuring that the team understands and consistently follows them.
Ensure that treatment equipment, pool plant, reception equipment, furniture and other operational assets are maintained in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
Identify maintenance requirements promptly and coordinate repairs, servicing and planned preventative maintenance with approved contractors and suppliers.
Oversee housekeeping standards and work closely with cleaning and maintenance contractors to ensure that issues are reported, monitored and resolved effectively.
Maintain professional and productive relationships with suppliers, service providers and contractors, monitoring the quality, value and reliability of the services provided.
Manage stock, consumables, retail products, cash and other valuables securely and in accordance with approved procedures.
Maintain effective inventory controls, including ordering, storage, stock rotation, reconciliation and the prevention of avoidable loss or wastage.
Undertake spa treatments on an occasional basis where appropriately qualified and required to maintain operational cover.
Take day-to-day responsibility for health, safety and operational compliance across the Leisure & Wellness facilities.
We’d love you to have:
·2-3 years of Spa operations service experience
·Must be able to swim and be willing to become a pool responder
·Willingness to complete First Aid training if not qualified
·Knowledge of basic Microsoft packages including Outlook and Word. Able to pick up new software packages as required
Thorough understanding of spa, leisure and wellness operations
Minimum 2- 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role withing a spa, leisure, wellness, hospitality or related environment.
