We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 or above) to join our friendly team at Smarty Pants @ Lye Ltd.
This is a term-time only position working 7.5 hours every Wednesday in our Toddler Room. The role also includes bank staff responsibilities, with opportunities to work additional hours as required to cover staff absence and training.

Job Duties
- Provide high-quality care, learning and support for children within our toddler room.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment.
- Complete observations and other nursery records as required.
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
- Work your regular Wednesday shift each week during term time and provide additional bank cover when available for staff absence and training.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum Level 2 or above Early Years qualification is essential
- Please do not apply if you do not hold a recognised Level 2 or above Early Years qualification, as we are unable to consider applications without this.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- A caring, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
- A reliable, flexible team player who is happy to work additional hours when required.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable.
