We have a new vacancy for a domestic cleaner and general helper to support older people.
What you'll do
- Travel to customers homes to provide housekeeping and daily tasks eg cleaning, laundry, shopping and supporting people to get out and about
- Cleaning makes up at least 75% of the job. Involves physical work eg hoovering, mopping etc
- Provide companionship and support to help customers maintain their independence and enjoy life
We do not provide personal care.
We are looking for :
- A practical person who enjoys meeting people and travelling around the community
- Kind, reliable, patient
- Excellent communicator with a caring nature
- An eye for detail and high cleaning standards
- A confident driver with reliable transport that is suitable to take people out and about
We offer:
- Paid training, short courses and certificates, mentoring and shadowing
- Paid travel time between jobs and fuel allowance (30p per mile)
- Travel to work time times range between 10 - 30 mins max. Travel between jobs 5 to 15mins average.
- Jobs are 1 hour min to help you build a relationship.
- An enhanced DBS is required , we can help with this.
2 references are required- one must be a current or previous employer.
A full driving licence and insurance.
