Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our team at Porthmeor. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about culinary arts and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant seaside setting. Early starts which means early finishes, which would suit the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning utensils, appliances, and work surfaces
- Manage ingredient stock levels, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times
- Serve breakfast to guests in a friendly and professional manner when required
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in meal presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in serving guests is desirable but not essential
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of quality
