Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Technical Claims Handler to join their friendly and knowledgeable Customer Services team in this newly created role.
The Role
You'll manage a caseload of property and latent defect insurance claims, taking ownership from FNOL through investigation and assessment. You'll work closely with insurers, underwriters, brokers, loss adjusters and internal teams, using your technical knowledge to ensure claims are handled fairly, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of property and latent defect claims
- Handle FNOLs and conduct initial investigations
- Gather and assess evidence to determine policy coverage
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, brokers and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate claims records and provide timely updates
- Ensure claims are handled in line with FCA and Consumer Duty requirements
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service
About You
You'll ideally have:
- 3+ years' experience in property claims or a related area such as loss adjusting
- Knowledge of property claims and/or latent defect insurance
- Experience working within an FCA-regulated environment
- Progress towards, or an interest in pursuing, CII/CILA qualifications
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- A customer-focused and commercially aware approach
