A care job where you have time to know the people you support
Clarendon Home Care has been supporting people in their own homes across Surrey and South West London since 1994.
We are a small, independently run care provider - not a national agency. Our Home Care Assistants become familiar, trusted faces to their clients, often supporting the same people week after week.
We are now looking for caring and dependable people to join our team in Staines-upon-Thames and the surrounding area.
What the job involves
You will visit clients in their own homes and support them with tasks such as:
- Personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
- Medication support
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Mobility and everyday household tasks
- Companionship and reassurance
Your visits will be organised into local rounds, helping to keep unnecessary travel to a minimum while allowing you to build genuine relationships with the people you support.
We currently have the following shifts available:
- Mornings: 7am–2pm
- Evenings: 4pm–10pm
- A combination of mornings and evenings
Every other weekend is part of the role. We are happy to discuss your availability and find a regular working pattern that suits both you and our clients.
This is a permanent position with consistent hours. It is not temporary agency or zero-hours work.
What we are looking for
You do not need previous care experience - we provide full training. What matters most is that you are compassionate, reliable and comfortable working independently.
You must also:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own reliable vehicle
- Be willing to provide personal care to both male and female clients
- Be available for morning shifts, evening shifts or both
- Be able to work every other weekend
- Have the right to work in the UK
We are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship. If you are not a British or Irish citizen, you must already have permission to work in the UK and be able to provide a valid share code or other acceptable proof of your right to work.
What Clarendon offers
- £12.71 per hour on weekdays
- £12.91 per hour weekday rate for Senior Home Care Assistants
- £13.20 per hour at weekends
- Mileage allowance
- Permanent employment with consistent hours
- Local, carefully planned rounds
- Full induction and ongoing training
- An enhanced DBS check paid for by us
- Morning and evening shift options
- A small, approachable management team you can actually get hold of
- The opportunity to build lasting relationships with regular clients
- The security of joining an established care provider with more than 30 years’ experience
