Join our team in supporting individuals across the Newcastle area. We are looking for part-time and relief personnel to join our vibrant team of staff to ensure that all of the young people we support have the best opportunities in life and receive proactive, reliable, sensitive care and support.
Sessions are throughout the week and weekends from 3-6hrs in length. The role would be for someone looking for 5-15hrs per week on a regular basis. Relief staff also required.
We are also recruiting for our supported living team in Slaley, Northumberland who provide support to a young man in his late 20’s with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulty and Epilepsy.
Who are Autism Dimensions?
Autism Dimensions provide bespoke education for children and adults with Autism, as well as providing support for families and schools. We support people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in their community’s. We want to demonstrate that people with additional needs may be ‘Different, not Less’ but we can't do this without you! We need Support Workers in the make our vision a reality.

You will provide support with daily life skills, personal care, independence skills, and promote equality and diversity.
What does a Support Worker do?
The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Supporting someone with a disability is not just personal care; it's so much more. The role of a Support Worker could be assisting with the weekly shop, taking the individual you are supporting swimming, enabling them to complete their weekly volunteering job or even supporting them to spend the day climbing and kayaking!
Who are we looking for?
· You will have good written and verbal communication skills as you will be responsible for developing plans and updating daily records.
· Positive outlook and willing to go the extra mile.
· Previous experience working in a care setting and/or with young people with additional needs would be an advantage.
· Car owners essential.
