We are expanding our Surrey team of self-employed tutors.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor to support learners of various ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong ability to communicate effectively. This is face-to-face tutoring in Surrey
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and personalised English lessons tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
- Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and educational resources.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student progress for reporting purposes.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
- Experience working with children or young learners.
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies is an advantage.
- Organised, adaptable, and capable of creating engaging lesson content suited to diverse learning needs.
- Passionate about education with a genuine desire to support student growth and development.
- Must have a DBS or be able to pass a police check
- PGCE and QTS preferred
Pay: £30.00 per hour
