Assistant Head Of House
Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive?
We are looking for an outstanding and passionate Assistant Head of House to join the team and to support in the development of House identity, participation, celebration and belonging.
You will work closely with Head of House, SENDCo, Safeguarding staff, external agencies ensuring you exercise professional judgement, building strong relationships with students and families and contributing to a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture within the House.
The Role
As an Assistant Head of House, you will:
- Act as a key pastoral contact for students and families within the House.
- Liaise with students, staff, families and external agencies regarding welfare concerns.
- Conduct welfare checks and follow-up support where necessary.
- Work closely with the safeguarding team to ensure students receive timely and appropriate support.
- Coordinate and monitor report cards and intervention plans.
- Develop positive and productive relationships with parents and carers.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience of working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral or safeguarding setting.
- Can build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
- Is committed to inclusion, student wellbeing and has high expectations.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies.
- Has the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
