Van Driver
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a company van to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the Despatch Manager
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure van is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the van
Hours are Monday to Friday on a variable 36-40 hour per week contract. Possible 5am starts depending on route. Drops are North East and Scotland (semi-national).
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle heavy lifting when required
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and routes
As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient operations. Additionally, you should be comfortable with heavy lifting when required.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position. Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred.
