Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors during mosque madrassah. The role is for 2 hours a day between the hours of 5pm-7pm Monday - Thursday.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. The Security Officer will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment through effective surveillance and incident management.
Responsibilities
- Static post on the premises entrance to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
- Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response procedure.
- Valid first aid certification is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
- A clean criminal record with the ability to pass background checks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required if necessary.
