Electronics Test Technician (Returns & Refurbishment)
BFU Electronics is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Electronics Test Technician to join our team in Ruislip, London. In this role you'll test and inspect returned consumer electronics — such as smartphones, laptops and computers, games consoles (including PlayStation), headphones, smartwatches and other devices — to check whether they are fully working and to grade their condition.
No formal experience is required — full training is provided — but any background in electronics, device testing, repair or quality control is a real advantage. If you're practical, careful and enjoy working with technology, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
- Test returned electronic devices to confirm they power on and function correctly
- Inspect items for physical damage and grade their condition accurately
- Record test results and device details clearly and consistently
- Identify faulty units and separate them for repair or recycling
- Carry out basic resets, cleaning and repackaging of working items
- Keep your work area organised and follow health & safety procedures
What we're looking for
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Comfortable working with a range of consumer electronics
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for logging results
- Good spoken and written English
- Experience in testing, repair, QC or electronics is a plus (but not essential)
