- Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
The role of Logistics Clerk:
- Facilitate the shipment of multiple product samples and orders to customers daily
- Liaise and arrange shipments with various courier and freight forwarder companies (DHL, UPS, FedEx etc.)
- Collate and arrange required paperwork to accompany shipments (invoices, USDA, Certificates of Analysis, Safety data sheets, dispatch emails)
- Assist in preparation of samples and orders by labelling, preparing documents and packaging correctly
- Liaise with R&D, QC, QA and production teams to advance product preparation for dispatch
- Help maintain Health and Safety and housekeeping standards in the dispatch area
- Prepare all customs documentation for import of goods from Romania, China and USA
- Review receipts of incoming stock and maintain accurate stock records
- Liaise with transport and outsourced warehouse to ensure timely arrival of incoming trucks and containers
- Prepare all dispatch documentation and ensure compliance with export requirements
- Ensure dangerous goods qualification is up to date and issue DG paperwork when relevant
- Provide sales offices with prompt shipping details and relevant documents
- Follow up on outbound shipments to confirm delivery
- Monthly stock reconciliation with outsourced warehouse
- Problem-solve issues with stock records and dispatches
- File and archive documentation
The ideal Logistics Clerk:
- IT literate with good Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel
- SAP experience preferred, ideally in a logistics function
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
- Able to respond quickly to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining quality
- Knowledge of the chemical sciences would be beneficial
