Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our client busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
Duties
- Select products accurately from stock using warehouse management systems
- Pack items securely to meet quality standards and prevent damage during transit
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques
- Maintain organisation of stock in designated areas, ensuring items are correctly stocked and labelled
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of materials handling, picking & packing, and stock organisation is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, including load & unload operations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality standards are met
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, walk distances within the warehouse, and perform manual handling tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Pay: £12.71 per hour
