The Procurement Transformation Business Case represents a significant investment in strengthening procurement capability across the entire commercial lifecycle at Bury, from strategic sourcing and procurement through to contract and supplier management. This provides a unique opportunity to influence organisational change, deliver significant and sustainable savings, improve commercial outcomes, and drive continuous service improvement for the people of Bury and its partners.

About the role
Salary: Grade 11, £44,152 to £45,777 per annum. An approved market supplement is currently in place, increasing the salary by £5,000 per annum. The market supplement is a time-limited payment for an initial period of two years and will be subject to review thereafter.

An understanding of the commercial lifecycle and the differences between:
Plan: Identifying needs, analysing spend, understanding markets and developing sourcing strategies.
Define: Developing specifications, outcomes, requirements, evaluation criteria and contract documentation.
Procure: Running compliant quotation and tender exercises, evaluating bids and awarding contracts.
Manage: Contract management, supplier performance monitoring, benefits realisation, risk management and continuous improvement.
Would be advantageous although full training and development will be provided for the right candidates.
