Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative
Do you have forklift experience and are you available to start at short notice?
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy in-house warehouse team.
This is a hands-on role within a small, friendly team, with a good mix of forklift driving and general warehouse duties. We are looking for someone reliable, hardworking and organised who takes pride in doing a job well.
This is an ongoing position with the opportunity for long-term employment for the right person.
Duties
Working as part of our warehouse team, your duties will include:
- Operating a counterbalance forklift on a day-to-day basis
- Booking goods in and checking deliveries
- Moving and storing goods in the correct locations
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Loading and unloading goods
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Carrying out general warehouse duties as required
- Some manual lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a valid forklift licence or relevant in-house forklift training
- Has previous warehouse and/or forklift experience
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Has a positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in
- Is comfortable working as part of a small team
- Has good attention to detail and understands the importance of accurate stock control
- Takes pride in their work and maintains a safe and tidy working environment
- Is available to start at short notice
In-house forklift training will be considered for candidates with suitable warehouse experience.
