Summary of Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our products reach our customers in perfect condition and on time. You will handle, organise, and dispatch our specialised ergonomic chairs, laptops, and related computer accessories, ensuring that each item meets our high standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection: Unload, inspect, and accurately log incoming shipments of ergonomic chairs, laptops, and other products.
- Inventory Management: Organise and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate counts and timely restocking of products.
- Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring each item is handled with care and properly labelled.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure they meet our quality standards, particularly for items designed for students with special needs.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and packaging machines.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with the warehouse manager to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred, especially in handling sensitive or specialised equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality, particularly when dealing with products designed for individuals with disabilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer applications is a plus.
