Role Overview;
We are seeking a motivated and organised Junior Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of our Commissioning Management Services on Construction Projects throughout the UK & Ireland. The role will involve the Planning, Co-Ordination, Monitoring & Reporting of Commissioning Activities to help ensure Building Services Systems are Installed, Tested, Commissioned & Handed Over in line with Project requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager or Graduate within the Building Services sector to start their career in Commissioning Management.
Key Responsibilities;
The Junior Commissioning Manager will support the wider commissioning team with;
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of commissioning plans, trackers & programmes.
- Monitoring commissioning progress against the project programme.
- Attending commissioning meetings and recording key actions.
- Supporting the coordination of Building Services commissioning activities.
- Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
- Reviewing commissioning documentation, test sheets and certificates.
- Assisting with site inspections, readiness reviews and commissioning walkdowns.
- Helping to identify commissioning risks, blockers and outstanding actions.
- Supporting the management of system demonstrations, witnessing and handover activities.
- Assisting with the collation of commissioning records for inclusion within the test packs.
- Promoting clear and professional communication with the project team.
Skills and Experience;
The ideal candidate will have;
- A good understanding of building services systems.
- Previous experience in construction, building services or facilities management.
- Previous experience in a commissioning focused role would be beneficial.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A professional attitude when dealing with clients and project teams.
Qualifications;
Desirable but not essential;
- HNC/HND, degree or trade background in mechanical, electrical, building services or a construction-related discipline.
- CSCS card or equivalent site safety training.
- Interest in developing knowledge of CIBSE, BSRIA, BREEAM, Soft Landings and commissioning best practice.
