Sous Chef – Brookhouse Mill, Denbigh, LL16 4RD
Full Time – based on 48 hours per week
Salary – £34,500 - £36,500 per annum plus tips (on average an additional £1.50 per/hour)
Brookhouse Mill is a converted water mill, now a pub full of character and charm on the banks of the River Ystrad, on the outskirts of the market town of Denbigh in the charming Vale of Clwyd. The pub was bought by Stange & Co mid-2025 and after an extensive refurbishment we’re delighted to have finally reopened the doors and have the pub at the centre of the town’s community once again.
We’re now on the lookout for an experienced, enthusiastic, hard-working and passionate sous to join and further strengthen the team. If you’re an experienced Sous or Senior CdP looking for a new and exciting challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What we’re looking for:
A creative, passionate and talented chef who is looking for a progressive and challenging role at this brand new site. Our chefs create their own menus and always welcome ideas from the whole of the team. Our pubs are all well known for serving the finest of fresh locally sourced produce and our regularly changing menus reflect this.
A genuine love of food, attention to detail and previous experience of working in a similar, busy, high-volume kitchen is essential as we know you’ll have the attitude and work ethos we’re looking for - a sous who shares our love of everything foody and brings passion and flair to the kitchen.
