Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor
Responsible to: Operations Manager
Working pattern: Monday to Sunday to Wednesday 07:00 - 15:00. Optional overtime. (10 days on 4 days off shift pattern) working every other weekend.
Overtime available for bank holidays.
Key Role:
To oversee and deliver operational cleaning services including litter picking, painting works, graffiti removal, and pavement cleaning using specialist equipment such as pressure washers. The Cleaning Supervisor will lead by example, maintaining high standards while taking overall accountability for team performance, coordinating daily activities, and supporting the Operations Manager with weekly reporting and operational oversight.
Main Duties
- Supervise and participate in operational activities including litter picking, graffiti removal, specialist cleaning, pavement cleaning, and painting, ensuring correct products, methods, and procedures are used at all times.
- Lead, organise, and support the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
- Interpret client requirements and ensure all work instructions are clearly communicated and effectively carried out by the team.
- Take overall responsibility for the quality of work delivered, ensuring it meets the company’s high standards.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, including Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8 Operations.
- Maintain full responsibility for Health and Safety compliance for yourself, your team, and members of the public.
- Act as the main point of contact for operational issues, escalating and liaising with the Operations Manager as required.
- Plan and coordinate team schedules, including start times, pick-ups, and daily task allocation.
- Support the Operations Manager in completing accurate and timely weekly reports, including performance updates and any issues encountered.
- Promote and maintain a professional company image at all times when interacting with clients and the public.

- Practical experience in cleaning operations, including painting and decorating.
