dB Attenuation Ltd is a leading supplier in the niche market of Acoustic Engineering. We design, manufacture and install bespoke noise attenuating solutions in the challenging environment of Electrical Transmission and Distribution.
We are very much linked to the new energy infrastructure projects around the UK, with several large projects in Scotland and London. Currently our projects range from £2,000 to £2.5M in value.
About the Role:
Our immediate requirement is an experienced Project Manager to be a key part of our Projects & Contracts Team. You will take responsibility for ensuring the successful execution of an end-to-end programme from design to successful installation. The ideal applicant will have the responsibility of working alongside the Commercial, Engineering and Installation Teams to deliver an excellent client experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the dBA Team with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity. The ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and be flexible when things change at very short notice is a must – as is a sense of humour a level head!

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work on multiple projects within the budgeted cost and to the satisfaction of the client
- Ensure successful and profitable execution by following standards and supporting the implementation of processes that drive consistency
- Liaison with other internal departments, clients and contractors
- Ensure that the H&S files are in place for your projects and that safe systems of work are put in place
- Understand the contractual requirements of your projects
- Ensure that technical and drawing information is available and correct to allow others to perform their works in an efficient manner
- Deal with all aspects of the financial management of your projects including invoicing and variations ensuring that we are not financial exposed and get paid in a timely fashion
- Represent the company with the necessary level of professional conduct and presentation
- To develop your knowledge from both experience and research to become an “expert” in one or more of a particular area of our project work to whom others in the organisation can refer.
- Monitor progress and performance against the programme, identifying, resolving, escalating operational problems and minimizing delays
Desirable skills:
- Full driving licence and own vehicle (essential)
- Educated to HNC or Degree Level in an Engineering discipline
- A PM Qualification – APM, PMQ or similar
- A Health & Safety Qualification - IOSH, NEBOSH, SSSTS, SMSTS or similar
- A working knowledge of Contracts and Commercial processes
- Ability to plan and organise projects and schedule work effectively
- Competent to a high level of computer literacy
- Knowledge of P6 Programming and CAD would be beneficial
- Experience working on site with Installation Teams and Subcontractors,
- Steel Erection and Sheet Metal Fabrication experience
- Able to work as part of a Team
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, being able to communicate with colleagues, subcontractors, clients and management alike
- Ability to work to the highest quality standards, with attention to detail ensuring that we complete our work thoroughly, never walking away from a problem.
- Organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day
- Demonstrate a professional, enthusiastic & committed approach at all times.
