Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Sous Chef to lead our culinary team within a dynamic hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food preparation and cooking activities to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage and oversee kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Coordinate food production processes to meet service timelines efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling waste.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
- Ensure all food served aligns with company standards and customer expectations.
- Support the implementation of health and safety policies across the kitchen area.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 minamum Level 3
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- A recognised culinary qualification or relevant professional training is preferred but not essential. Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
