Production Operative – Pellet Manufacturing

Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our pellet manufacturing team. The role involves supporting daily production activities, operating machinery, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Full training will be provided for machine operation, quality checks, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate pellet-making machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
· Assist with production line activities including material loading, monitoring, and packaging
· Perform routine quality checks to ensure pellets meet industry and company standards
· Monitor equipment for proper operation and report any faults or irregularities
· Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all safety guidelines
· Support warehouse activities such as stacking, bagging, labelling, and palletising finished product
· Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE requirements
· Record production data and report output to supervisors
· Work as part of a team to ensure production targets and deadlines are met
Requirements
· Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
· Role involves lifting, standing, and operating machinery
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
· Willingness to learn new skills and operate machinery
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
· Basic numeracy and literacy skills
· Previous factory or production experience is helpful but (not essential)
Working Hours
· 40 hours per week (shift patterns may vary depending on production schedules)
· Overtime available during busy periods
Training Provided
· Machine operation and safety
· Quality control processes
· Factory safety and compliance training (including PPE)
· Forklift or other machinery training may be available depending on business needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
