Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, motivate, and manage the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar snacks and light meals
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all areas
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste
- Train staff on service procedures, food safety protocols, and product knowledge
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Organise staff rotas, assign duties, and monitor performance to optimise team productivity
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production and presentation standards
- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and staff schedules
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive restaurant experience, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
- Experience in kitchen operations or hotel service is highly desirable
- Barista experience or background in coffee preparation is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Leadership qualities with a focus on customer satisfaction and team development
