Job Overview
We are seeking Machine Assistants to join our laundry team, . The successful candidates will be responsible for working with machine operators on our commercial ironing machines (and other commercial laundry equipment).
The Machine Assistant will contribute significantly to the smooth running of our production line, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Candidates will need to be available for work between the hours of 2pm to 6pm weekdays, with the possibility of Saturday morning.
Duties
- Assist in the operation of our ironing machines and other additional duties, such as sealing clean laundry in plastic bags and sorting out dirty laundry on it's arrival with precision and care, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure machinery functions correctly and efficiently.
- Record production data accurately,
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Assist in setting up equipment for new production runs or product changes as directed by supervisors.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Skills
- Training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks when necessary.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing settings is advantageous.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
