Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Composite Door Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precision assembly and construction of high-performance composite doors, ensuring each unit meets our quality and durability standards. he Fabricator will play a key part in ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic finish of our products, contributing directly to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble composite door sets, including the integration of frames, sills, and door slabs.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit components with high precision.
- Read and interpret customer specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Install glazing units, hardware, and locking mechanisms according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform precise measurements and calculations to ensure seamless fit and finish.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections on finished units
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets without compromising craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in door/window fabrication or a similar assembly-based manufacturing role.
- Proficiency with power tools (mitre saws, drills, routers, and pneumatic tools).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Ability to read and interpret measurement specifications.
- Experience working with composite materials, PVC, or aluminium is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to quality craftsmanship and a "right first time" approach.
