Community Support Worker – Children & Young People
Wiltshire – SN13 | Weekend Support | 6–8 Hour Shifts | Immediate Work Available
£16–£18 per hour dependent on experience | Weekly Pay | PAYE
Care Bridge Specialists are looking for experienced and compassionate Support Practitioners to join our team supporting children and young people with complex needs in the SN13 area of Wiltshire.
We have immediate weekend work available, typically in 6–8 hour shifts, supporting children and young people to access activities in the community, build independence and enjoy meaningful time away from home, while providing their families with valuable respite.
The Role
You will work as part of a consistent Practitioner team supporting children and young people who may have autism, learning disabilities, mental health comorbidities and behaviours of concern.
Support may include:
- Community activities and appointments
- Building independence and daily living skills
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and de-escalation approaches
- Building positive, trusting relationships
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals
What We're Looking For
You will need:
- 2+ years' health or social care experience
- Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs
- Good understanding of autism, learning disabilities and/or mental health
- Experience supporting behaviours of concern
- NVQ Level 2 or Care Certificate minimum
- Good written communication and record keeping
- Full UK driving licence
- Your own vehicle with business insurance – essential
- Willingness to complete specialist training
Note: PBS and PMVA/CPI Safety Intervention training is desirable.

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
