Are you passionate about supporting families in need? As a Welfare Rights Officer, you will play a vital role in assisting kinship and adoptive families with financial assessments. Your expertise will help inform legal orders, determine benefits eligibility, and advocate with partner agencies to enhance financial stability. You will be part of a collaborative team, working alongside social workers, family workers, and administrative support to ensure families receive the assistance they deserve.
In this rewarding role, you will:

Conduct financial assessments to guide families through legal and benefits processes.

Advocate for families with utility companies and other partner agencies.

Visit families in their homes across the county, providing tailored support.

Maintain accurate records and manage your own diary effectively.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for families.
To succeed in this role, you will need:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in welfare rights or a related field.

Strong knowledge of the benefits system and financial assessments.

Excellent mathematical skills to assist families accurately.

A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (unless disability precludes this).
