Bristol (Hybrid) | £30,000 basic + performance bonus (OTE up to £35,000)

Because that's basically the whole job. This is a phone-first role — 70-80% of your week will be spent on calls and emails with schools, so you need to genuinely love being on the phone, not just tolerate it. If cold calling gives you the fear rather than the buzz, this one isn't for you.
About us
We're Mad Science South — and we're on a mission to make science the coolest thing that happens at school. For 15 years we've been running jaw-dropping science shows, workshops and after-school clubs for kids across South Wales and Bristol, and now we're growing fast across South England too. Think dry ice, exploding volcanoes, and hundreds of primary school kids losing their minds over static electricity. We're a small, ambitious, welcoming team who take science seriously and ourselves not at all.
The role
You'll be one of the voices that gets us into more schools, more often. You'll be:
- Calling primary schools across South Wales and South England to introduce our shows and clubs
- Chasing warm leads, past customers, and anyone who's shown a flicker of interest
- Booking in shows, workshops and after-school clubs, and keeping a tidy pipeline
- Building relationships with school staff so they come back to us year after year
- Hitting targets without it ever feeling like a call centre
What we're looking for
- Someone who's genuinely comfortable and confident on the phone, this is non-negotiable
- Experience selling to schools, or experience working within a school, so you know how they tick
- Solid cold calling experience, wherever it comes from
- Self-motivated, organised, and good at following up without being told to
- Based in or able to work hybrid from our Bristol office ( this may be negotiable to fully remote for the right person)
