Residential Support Volunteer
Looking for a rewarding volunteer role where you can make a real difference?
We’re seeking female volunteers to support women living in our Bristol Approved Premises:
Interventions Alliance homes offer people under supervision in the community structured support and monitoring to aid rehabilitation and manage risks to the public. Our home in Bristol is for women under supervision in the community and operates on trauma‑informed and enabling‑environment principles.
By assisting our staff with activities, wellbeing programmes, and everyday support, volunteers help women gain confidence, build essential skills, and reduce their risk of reoffending—making a genuine impact in their lives.
As a volunteer with Interventions Alliance you can:
- Gain experience working in the criminal justice sector
- Benefit from training opportunities
- Be part of a team supporting each other to support our participants
- Learn new skills within an evidence‑based approach
- Play an active role in addressing crime in our communities
- Give people opportunities to put their lives on track
While this is an unpaid role, in return for your volunteering efforts we offer specialised training, paid expenses, and a high level of support and supervision from a Volunteer Coordinator. Additionally, you will gain insight into the criminal justice sector and have opportunities to engage with and shadow industry professionals.
There is an option to support participants remotely. IT skills are required, as there is administrative work involved in this role.
Volunteering is conducted within core business hours, 9am–5pm.
