Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively engage students and foster a supportive learning environment.You must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays. There will also be the option of a weekday.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to motivate students
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to enhance the learning experience for all students
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a formal educational setting
- Full training and support will be given. Basic maths and English skills essential (N5, standard grade, GCSE Maths and English qualification is required).
- Experience working with children, ideally those with special educational needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents
- A background in education or a related field is advantageous
