About the role
As Assistant Cook, you will be support the Chef Manager with the daily running of the kitchen, preparing and serving freshly cooked meals for children and staff while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety and service. Y

● Prepare and serve freshly cooked, nutritious meals to children and staff
● Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service
● Ensure all food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding standards are met
● Support a positive, safe and well-organised working environment for the team
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and passionate about producing great food.
Essential
● At least 1 year of experience as in a cooking role
● Experience working in a catering environment
● A genuine passion for preparing high-quality meals
● Ability to manage responsibilities independently and consistently
Preferred
● Previous experience in a school, education or high-volume catering setting
● Driving licence preferred, though not essential
