The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will manage the purchases and grow sales of Craft Beers/Real Ales to our portfolio of Pubs and Cafes. Your focus will be on building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, and increasing the availability and visibility of the Beer Metropolis portfolio.
You will work directly with outlet owners and managers to support product listings, promotional activity, and new product trials, and to drive sales performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities acting as brand ambassador proactively, contact new customers, reactivate dormant customers and secure renewals within the on-trade sector, expanding distribution. Support the wider sales team with growth initiatives.
- Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities to increase customer spend and product range. Maximise profit by reviewing the profit and loss account.
- Lead negotiations with accounts to secure favourable terms and conditions, including securing on-trend stock deals, pricing, promotions, and placement with both customers and suppliers.
- Own, manage and maintain our Shopify wholesale platform, create offers or promotions, identify and purchase on-trend stock, maintain product information, pricing and stock levels, support and drive marketing campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system. Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Inventory management research and identify the UK's most exciting independent breweries and distilleries, and coordinate purchases to grow our stocklist to maximise the trends and events. Identify slow-moving stock or aged inventory.
- Work closely with other departments, marketing, to ensure a strong brand presence, and finance to ensure alignment and support for accounts.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working independently and building relationships. Someone who has purchasing and selling experience and can demonstrate a strong overall commercial awareness. Knowledge of craft beer and Shopify is a big advantage.
You will ideally have:
- Desirable Shopify and e-commerce experience
- Must have Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Must have Commercial awareness and a sales-focused mindset
- Must have Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Must have Strong organisation and territory planning ability
- Must have A results-driven mindset with a passion for winning in the field
- Must have Purchasing and stock control experience
- A full clean UK driving licence

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
