PTS Electrical Supervisor – Rail Infrastructure

Gee Communications is seeking an experienced and motivated PTS Electrical Supervisor to support the successful delivery of rail infrastructure and station improvement projects across Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical professional with supervisory experience to play a key role in delivering electrical installations within live railway environments. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical works, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining quality workmanship, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
The Role
As a PTS Electrical Supervisor, you will:
· Supervise and coordinate electrical installation teams on rail infrastructure and station projects.
· Ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
· Oversee the installation of electrical containment systems, including tray, trunking and conduit.
· Supervise the installation, termination and testing of power, control and communication cabling.
· Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and Network Rail requirements.
· Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
· Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
· Maintain accurate site records, permits and Health & Safety documentation.
· Produce and submit daily site reports to the Project Manager detailing progress, workforce levels, completed activities, issues, delays and planned works.
· Ensure all works are completed in accordance with programme requirements and project deadlines.
· Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
· Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
· SSSTS qualification
· Demonstrable experience supervising electrical installation teams.
· Experience delivering electrical works within commercial, industrial, infrastructure or rail environments.
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Experience producing site documentation and progress reports.
· Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
· SMSTS qualification.
· Previous railway station or rail infrastructure project experience.
· ECS Gold Card.
· Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent).
· IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
· Knowledge of Network Rail standards and working practices.
· Experience working within live operational railway environments.
· First Aid at Work qualification.
