Groundshore is a market leader in the supply of mobile welfare units, and we're looking for a Service Engineer to join our team.
The Role
This is a field-based role where no two days are the same. You'll travel to customer sites to service, maintain, and repair mobile welfare units, carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive breakdown work.
You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, diagnose faults efficiently, and complete repairs to a high standard. As a representative of Groundshore, you'll also provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude on every visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled service visits and reactive breakdown call-outs.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, aiming for a first-time fix.
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Complete accurate digital service reports, including photographs where required.
- Manage van stock, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow engineers to share knowledge and improve service delivery.

About You
Essential
- Strong electrical experience with good mechanical knowledge.
- A logical and methodical approach to fault finding.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile field-based role.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage van stock and equipment.
- Confident using a laptop or tablet to complete digital service reports.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and Category BE entitlement.
Desirable
Experience or knowledge in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Solar power systems.
- Telemetry or PLC systems.
- Victron power systems.
- Basic IT networking (TCP/IP).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
