About Culrose Residential Care Home
Culrose Residential Care Home is a 32-bed service for older people located in the village of Dickleburgh. We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a warm, homely environment.
We are currently looking for caring, committed and compassionate individuals to join our day team.
The Role
As a Day Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs, ensuring they feel safe, valued and respected at all times. You will be flexible, reliable and motivated, with a genuine passion for providing high-quality care.
You will be a self-starter, resilient, well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Full training and a comprehensive induction will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing and continence support.
- Support residents with meals and hydration.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff.
- Accurately complete daily care records and documentation.
- Follow individual care plans and contribute to their ongoing review.
- Maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and the wider care team.
- Support residents to attend appointments and activities as required.
- Uphold safeguarding, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Summary
As a Day Care Assistant at Culrose, you will deliver compassionate, person-centred care that enhances the quality of life of our residents. Working closely with nursing and senior staff, you will help implement care plans, support daily living needs and build trusting relationships with residents and families. Your professionalism, empathy and commitment will help create a safe and nurturing environment where residents feel at home.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential – full training provided.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to follow care plans and work in line with care home procedures.
- Basic IT skills for recording and reporting.
- A caring, reliable and compassionate nature.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
