We are a long-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Eastbourne, providing a full range of accountancy and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
We are looking for an organised and reliable Secretary to join our administrative team, working primarily alongside one of our Senior Partners to support the management of their client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a friendly and supportive team of five administrative staff.
This is a part-time, 6m fixed-term position to cover a long-term staff absence, working approximately 20–25 hours per week. Our normal office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a 45-minute lunch break. Working hours can be discussed with the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting letters and other correspondence from dictation.
- Assisting with company secretarial matters using specialist software (full training will be provided).
- Filing and maintaining physical client records and documentation.
- Preparing client bills using practice software (full training will be provided).
- Corresponding professionally with clients and third parties.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Have excellent keyboarding and word processing skills.
- Be well organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues, clients and third parties.
- Be able to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
- Have previous experience in an office-based administrative role.
