Job Title: Night Shift Deep Clean Operative – Meat Processing Factory
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Shift Pattern: Night Shift – Monday till Friday 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- £13.77 per hour
- Increases to £14.46 per hour after 12-week probation
- Overtime available after probation, paid at time and a half
Job Description:
We are currently recruiting experienced and safety-conscious Night Shift Deep Clean Operatives to join our team in a meat processing facility. This is a physically demanding role focused on maintaining high hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the factory during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks as per the planned hygiene schedule.
- Operate cleaning machinery and equipment (e.g. pressure washers, fogging machines, and chemical applicators) safely and effectively.
- Perform high-level cleaning tasks using powered access equipment (IPAF)
- Liaise with Engineers department to arrange dismantle and reassemble production machinery and equipment after the clean.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and wear appropriate PPE
- Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards
- Follow a detailed cleaning schedule and complete all tasks within set timeframes
- Report any issues such as equipment faults, pest activity, or structural damage.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience in an industrial or food production environment (preferred)
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends on a rota basis
- Physically fit and capable of manual and high-level work
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene and cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to follow training and safety procedures
- Comfortable working in cold and wet environment
