About the Role
Community Training Services (CTS) is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Co-Trainers to support the delivery of Oliver McGowan Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and play an important role in delivering high-quality training that improves understanding, confidence and practice when supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
As a Co-Trainer, you will work alongside the lead trainer to support engaging, interactive and person-centred training sessions. You will help bring learning to life through your own knowledge, experience and practical insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead trainer in the delivery of Oliver McGowan training sessions.
- Contribute to an engaging, inclusive and interactive learning environment.
- Share relevant professional and/or lived experience to enhance learners' understanding.
- Participate in discussions, activities and group exercises.
- Support learners to understand how the training applies to their own practice.
- Work collaboratively with the lead trainer and CTS team.
- Maintain professional standards and ensure training is delivered in line with the relevant Oliver McGowan training requirements.
- Provide feedback and contribute to the ongoing quality and improvement of delivery.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Experienced in working within health and social care, learning disability, autism or related services.
- Already trained as a co-trainer in Oliver Mcgowan
- Passionate about improving the experiences and outcomes of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
- Confident communicating with a wide range of learners and professionals.
- Comfortable speaking to groups and contributing to interactive training.
- Reliable, professional and able to work collaboratively as part of a training team.
- Able to travel to training venues as required.
- Committed to person-centred practice, equality, inclusion and dignity.
Experience of delivering training is desirable, although we are particularly interested in individuals who have strong practical experience and the right knowledge, communication skills and enthusiasm to develop as a Co-Trainer.
