We're looking for an experienced Solar Electrical Compliance Manager to join our growing team and take ownership of the electrical quality, compliance and technical standards across our renewable energy division.
Working within our MCS-certified business, you'll ensure every Solar PV and Battery Storage installation is completed safely, compliantly and to the highest industry standards. This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Electrician, Qualified Supervisor (QS) or Compliance Manager looking to step into a leadership role within a rapidly expanding business.
About the Role
You'll oversee the electrical compliance of all domestic and commercial Solar PV and Battery Storage installations, ensuring our work consistently meets the requirements of MCS, NICEIC, BS7671 and Building Regulations.
Working closely with our Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Electricians and Office Team, you'll provide technical leadership, carry out audits and inspections, mentor engineers and drive continual improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's electrical compliance procedures and standards
- Act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor
- Ensure compliance with BS7671, MCS and current Building Regulations
- Carry out technical audits and post-installation inspections
- Review electrical certification and commissioning documentation
- Provide technical support to electricians and site teams
- Investigate and resolve technical or compliance issues
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across all projects
- Liaise with clients, DNOs, manufacturers and certification bodies where required
- Assist with external audits including NICEIC and MCS assessments
- Identify training requirements and support the development of installation teams
- Develop and improve company procedures, quality systems and best practice
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent)
- ECS/JIB Gold Card
- Extensive experience within Solar PV installations
- Strong working knowledge of MCS standards and NICEIC requirements
- Experience carrying out electrical inspections and audits
- Excellent fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS)
- Battery Storage installation experience
- EV Charger installation experience
- Experience within the social housing sector
- Experience mentoring or managing electrical teams
