Option 2 - Self Employed - session rate (£20 - £40)

Sessions: Lunch Clubs/After School Clubs/Holiday Camps

We are looking for a part time primary school dance teacher to join our team.
We work in schools and venues across Cambridge & Newmarket delivering multiple sessions such as Before School Clubs, Lunch Clubs, PE Lessons, After-School Clubs, Wraparound Clubs and Holiday Camps.
Successful candidate(s) will demonstrate;
1. Excellent knowledge and hold qualifications specific to the delivery/coaching of Dance/Performing Arts;
· Recognised Dance qualification equivalent to or exceeding an National Governing Body Level 2 (Desirable)
· Able to pass an Enhanced DBS Check and be deemed safe to work with children
· Further educational or vocational qualifications in Performing Arts or related areas [Desirable]
· Experience and knowledge of working with children and young people
· Competent in literacy and numeracy to a Level 2 standard
· Safeguarding and First Aid certificate [Desirable] (this can be provided by Premier)
2. Competency to perform high standards of professionalism in a range of different environments and situations;
· Able to plan a range of innovative Dance/Performing Arts sessions and programmes
· Attend training and follow a scheme of work for our unique Performing Arts programme
· Set up and deliver high quality Dance/Performing Arts provision to children.
· Develop and inspire people to live and lead healthy active lifestyles
· Able to produce accurate participant judgment’s, feedback and reports on individual achievements and progress
· Knowledge and understanding of the primary National Curriculum [Desirable]
· Knowledge and understanding of current affairs and landscape for physical activity and sport [Desirable]
Main Duties;
Delivering Performing Arts activities to children in school curriculum time following the National Curriculum and/or set programs of study and also deliver a range of OSHL, (Out Of School Hours Learning programmes) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school, and in school holiday periods.
Skills and Experience:
· Hold a Drivers License and have access to own transport
· Must be computer literate and have access to ICT
· Reliable with strong time management
· Self-motivated and have a passion for teaching/coaching and inspiring people
· Previous experience would be highly beneficial

Successful candidates will undergo constant continued professional and personal development and will be expected to attend additional external training to enhance their knowledge.
