HGV DESCRIPTION
The UK’s premier Access Platform specialist, Blade Access, is looking for HGV Class 2 Driver/Operators
As a Blade Access platform operator, you will be the face of the largest independent truck mounted access hire company in the UK, providing our clients with safe access to work at heights. Using one of our specialist HGV Class 2 Platforms you will cover jobs in your immediate and surrounding areas, but you will often be called upon to assist our clients nationwide.
Our esteemed clients vary in industry type from construction to heavy industries through to Film/TV, telecoms and signage to name a few. Almost every day is different – one day you could be working on the rolling hills of a windfarm, the next you could be assisting with the maintenance of the UK’s power grid or the UK’s 5G network.
Pay & Benefits
- £40,000 plus
- Paid minimum 40 hours

Responsibilities
- Arrive on site at given time
- Provide customers with means to work safely at height
- Operate the platform in a safe professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service to client personnel on site
- Be up to date with all current health and safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws
- Assist with our nationwide coverage of the UK and Northern Ireland
- Have in depth knowledge of machine capabilities and operation
- Provide HQ with up to date site information by use of tablet

Role Details
- Work at heights between 16m – 103m
- Must have a full clean driving licence and be over 18
- IPAF 1b – advantageous but not essential
- MEWP experience – advantageous but not essential
- CSCS card – advantageous but not essential
- Full training is provided
- Travel is a large part of the role
- Plenty of overtime as per client needs
- Weekend rota – weekend on / weekend off
- Flexibility to work away where required
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
