About The Girlhood Project
The Girlhood Project supports young women aged 16–21 in Haringey who are currently not in
education, employment, or training (NEET). The programme aims to increase confidence, improve
employability, support progression into education and training, and provide pathways into
entrepreneurship.
Role Overview
We are seeking three motivated Careers & Education Advisers to deliver a 12-week support programme for young women in Haringey. Each adviser will support approximately 26 participants
through one-to-one guidance, employability support, education advice and progression planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage young women aged 16–21 across Haringey.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, youth centres, community organisations and referral
partners.
- Promote The Girlhood Project through social media and community outreach.
- Complete participant registrations and assessments.
- Create individual action plans.
- Deliver CV audits and CV-writing support.
- Support job searches and job applications.
- Assist with apprenticeship, college and university applications.
- Prepare participants for interviews.
- Collect weekly feedback forms.
- Submit weekly progress updates.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence.
Entrepreneurship Pathway
- Identify participants interested in self-employment.
- Recruit and onboard at least 10 participants onto the 6-month Self-Employment Pathway.
- Refer participants to the Serviced Accommodation Mentorship Programme delivered by the
Project Lead.
Project Targets
- Support a combined total of 80 young women.
- Complete 80 registrations and assessments.
- Create 80 individual action plans.
- Deliver CV audits and employability support.
- Support employment, education and apprenticeship applications.
- Recruit at least 10 participants onto the Self-Employment Pathway.
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting young people or adults into employment, education or training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.Completion Bonus
- Experience with IT softwares like Google workspace , Airtable, CRM softwares
The £500 completion bonus will be paid upon successful completion of the programme and
submission of all participant records, action plans, feedback forms, weekly reports and final project
documentation.
Pay: From £1,750.00 per month
